About Me

Hello! My name is Maggie Baldwin and I have Crohn’s Disease and an ileostomy bag!

Ok – I don’t always introduce myself like that, but most of the time I do!

I have always been loud and proud about my time as a patient, and have used that experience to become a nurse. Patient advocacy started with my YouTube channel over seven years ago under the name “Let’s Talk IBD”. I became a registered nurse at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia working with many children afflicted by Inflammatory Bowel Disease.

Outside of my “diseased” life, I live with my fiancé, Zak, our four dogs (Daisy, Bruno, Nanners, and Holly) and nineteen chickens (Tina, Louise, and seventeen unnamed ones). We recently moved to an old farm house to care for all of our critters. I love gardening as well, and have quite the collection of perennial flowers! With all of these activities, that doesn’t leave much time for anything else, so I occasionally make YouTube videos. 🙂

Using this space, I will integrate my videos and create written forms of them. I’ll share my knowledge of IBD, ostomies, becoming a nurse, and how I live my life outside of these things.

Thanks for tuning in!

Maggie Baldwin, RN BSN
